We start the day in the picturesque village of Kurort Rathen. We get there with a ferry that goes from one side of Elbe river to the other. (10min.). From there the trail leads to the Bastei rock bridge. One of the most attractive places in Europe.
Along the way, we have a view of the Elbe, a river that originates in the Czech Republic.

During midday, we eat our great lunchpacks in the forest and enjoy it in a calm nature.

We move to our next starting point (approx. 30 min.) from Bastei and we go to the rocks again. Schrammstein viewpoint await us. These stunning formations of rocks will not leave you without wonder.

We end our journey in Schmilka. A village that is typical for its small half-timbered houses, a historic mill with a bakery and, last but not least a brewery with organic beer.
You will experience the unforgettable atmosphere of this place. A delicious salty/sweet cake awaits us at the bakery.

Are you ready to go on a one-day adventure? To make your experience a pleasant one, please consider that the trip will take a full day. The terrain is mainly hilly and some sections can be more challenging (stairs, ladders).

However, any person in good physical condition should be able to manage it. A certain amount of persistence is also in order.

We recommend sturdy hiking shoes and ideally a waterproof jacket.
A raincoat and trekking poles can be borrowed from your guide.
